Top Frequently Asked Questions

You are able to extend vouchers purchased within Photobook and group buy vouchers which are activated, these vouchers will only be able to be extended 7 days prior to expiration.

To do so, you need to sign in and / or sign up to your account.

Under "My Vouchers" on the left panel, find your voucher which you wish to extend and click "Extend my Voucher", the voucher validity period will be extended by 21 days.

Note:

  • The "Extend My Voucher" feature will only appear 7 days prior to expiration
  • Only applicable for group buy vouchers that are activated

You are only required to enter your voucher code after you have designed your photo product. When in the Web Shopping Cart, proceed to the 3rd page (after shipping and billing) and enter your code under the “Voucher Code” section.

The email entered into the Activation Page will need to be the same as your registered email with us. If you do not see the activated voucher code in your "My Profile" page, you could have used a different email to sign up with us. The voucher code can still be used upon checkout.

Kindly check if you have selected Standard Shipping for your order. Standard shipping may take up to 21 business days to reach you. Your parcel will be handed over to your local postal organisation once it has reached the destination country and may take awhile before it is dispatched.

Please note that your username is case sensitive. If you have registered with us in the past, please ensure that you take note of the capital letters when you login.

There are two platforms that contains your details.

  1. Web Account: This mainly stores your purchase details, pending voucher codes and past orders. You could extend your voucher codes by clicking “Extend My Voucher” and update your profile as well.
  2. Web Shopping Cart: This platform is mainly for order purposes. You may redeem your Gift Cards, reorder past projects as well as change your future order details here.

Please see the checklist below:

  • Check that you are using the correct site to create your book. 
  • You should be creating from a site base on your country of residence
  • Copy and paste the code into the voucher field as sometimes "zero’s" and "O’s" can be misinterpreted.

  • Make sure that the offer hasn’t expired as each code has a expiration date.

  • Check if you are creating your the right product.  In terms of Photobooks, Debossedand  Imagewrap are not the same products.

Unfortunately, no. Each project you create in the software must be ordered separately and if you have multiple voucher codes, each code must be redeemed in separate orders. This means each order placed is subject to shipping and handling fees. Combined shipping fees are only applicable if you are ordering multiple copies of the same project or design with one voucher code (if applicable).

You can order multiple copies of the same book (style, size and design), but not different designs, styles or sizes of books in one order. Note: Only one voucher code can be entered in one order per time.

If your order status is 'Waiting for Files', this means we have received your order in our system but not your project and photos required to print the order. We would have sent email reminders at regular intervals with the details to upload. Please follow the steps below to upload your files:

  1. 1. Open the Photobook Designer Software
  2. 2.Locate your project
  3. 3.Click on the project once just to select it.
  4. 4. You will then see options at the bottom of the window, please click on "SEND FILES or COMPLETE ORDER".
  5. 5. Read and click off on the Disclaimer.
  6. 6.A new window will pop up that will give you three options. Click off on "Upload Order".

No. In order to ship orders on time in an efficient manner and to streamline our production process, we do not allow pick-ups. If your order is urgent, we would advise that you try to place your order earlier and include the courier shipping time. More info on shipping methods and transit times can be found here.

Here is a list of errors that you may encounter:

Non-Critical Errors (can be ignored)

  1. Missing Text Box
  2. Missing Picture Box
  3. Low Quality Picture

The first two errors may occur if you have an image covering the text box or picture box.

The Low Quality Picture error can be ignored if it looks OK in Preview, but may appear slightly grainy or pixelated.

Do an overall preview to see if the affected pages look okay. You may choose to ignore this by ticking on the “Critical Errors Only” box and proceed to checkout.

Critical Errors (must be fixed)

  1. Text Overflows Box
  2. Missing Picture

To fix the Text Overflows Box error, go to the affected pages with the stated text box, double-click to edit the Text Box. Ensure that you have ample space for your text, or you may have accidentally created too many blank paragraphs by clicking on “Enter” too many times.

To fix Missing Images error, right-click on the image and select “Find Picture…”. Locate the missing image and click “Yes”.

Group Buy Faqs

The purpose of activating a voucher code purchased outside Photobook is so that you may tie the voucher code to your account. When the expiry date draws near, we will be sending you a reminder email automatically to ensure that you do not forget to use your voucher code.

The activation of the voucher code does not affect the expiry date of your voucher code. You will need to enter your code once again during checkout.

Each voucher code is unique and applicable to purchase the product stated in your Terms and Conditions. Please ensure you are using an unused code.

Double check your spelling, the best way to avoid typos is to copy and paste your code from your voucher.

There is no limit to how many images you can put in a project. However, please adhere to the maximum recommended file size is approximately 8MB or 600dpi per image file.

Note: Adding too many high resolution images may slow down computer performance and may cause the computer to freeze.

Click on the  icon on top of your Picture Tray and select “Sort”. You may sort the files by Filename, Date Created, Date Modified, Picture Orientation, Picture Usage or by Rating.

There are multiple ways you can rotate images. The first option is to select your image and navigate to the Edit Picture tab and select an angle. You can also change the angle under the Ruler tab. Lastly, you can left mouse click and hold the green dot around your image, and drag the mouse in the direction you wish to rotate.

The red line represents the cutting line and the blue line is the bleed line. To avoid white space on the edge of the page, please extend your image right to the blue line and keep all critical content within the red line.

When you zoom in on a page in Photobook Designer, your pictures may appear 'blurry' or 'blurred'. This is an automated feature by the program to ease your viewing experience.

Right-click the image and select "Show High Quality Picture" from the context menu.

Most images will turn out fine in the printed product. If you are using images from a mobile phone or a low Megapixel (2 Megapixel for example), you are recommended to use a higher resolution image, or you can reduce the size of the picture box to make the image appear sharper.

This could mean any of the following below:

  1. Low Resolution Warning: When this  icon pops up on a picture, it means that the picture you've selected is too low-resolution to print clearly at the current size. You are recommended to either shrink the picture until the warning icon disappears or replace your picture with a higher-resolution picture.
  2. Missing Images: This could also mean the software cannot locate your original photo file and you will need to import these images back into the software to relink them. If you have used any photos from a external drive or a CD, ensure that they are connected and that the drive letter remains the same at all times. (e.g. If your external drive was assigned the D drive when you imported the photos into the project, make sure it is always D drive when it is connected.

We recommend allowing an additional 2cm bleed space on all sides of your standard layout. You are advised to keep their critical content inside the red line at all times to prevent their content being wrapped into the cover.

1. Navigate to the “Scrapbook” tab in the Photobook Designer, and click on the “Gear” icon.

There are several ways to add images.

  1. Drag-and-drop the the images from the picture tray onto your layout.
  2. Select the  icon which is located next to the  icon.
  3. On the menu bar, select “Insert” → “Picture Box” → the option of your choice.
  4. Simply drag-and-drop the image from any image folder into the layout. The software will automatically add the image onto the picture tray on the left.

To populate the Pictures Tray, simply click the  icon. A window will open asking you to select the folder that contains your pictures or add individual pictures. Select the folder or images and click 'OK'. This will then automatically populate the Picture Tray for your usage.

You may add picture from Flickr or Facebook through the same option. However, take note that images imported from these platforms may not be of the best quality, and you are recommended to use them with caution.

This will depend on the size the picture box in your project. Typically, you are recommended to use images that are 150dpi with a maximum of 300DPI.

Click on the  button on the Editing Toolbar. Your images will be populated in according to the order in your picture tray.

Please double check your project page by page to ensure that all the images look OK before proceeding to order your photo product.

Yes, the fonts that are available in the Photobook Designer is taken off your computer automatically. If you were to install additional fonts on your computer, then they will appear in the Photobook Designer once the software is restarted.

There are two ways to brighten your images if they are dark. First you'll need to drag and drop your image onto the page and then left click to select it. Once this is done, click on  icon at the top right hand corner to access the tools menu. You can use the Brightness and Contrast slider bars to adjust your image or use the one click Auto-Enhance feature. These tools can be used to adjust your images so that the brightness level throughout the album is consistent for better results.

Double-click your Text Box to go into the edit mode. Highlight the text of your choice and find the  icon on the top right panel. Find the “Direction & Alignment” option to change the angle of your text.
